Richard “Rich” Lincoln Hollis was called home on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
Rich was born in Uhrichsville, Ohio, on April 24, 1946, to the late John and Mary (Smith) Hollis. He would then marry Marcia McCullough on March 8, 1969, and Marcia survives in Galion.
Rich was a hard-working man, working for Marion Power Shovel, and Cardington Yutaka through the years, and retired from Silverline. When he was not working, you could find Rich catching an Old Western film, especially if it starred John Wayne. A lifetime NRA member, Rich had a passion for politics and was proudly declaring his support for Donald Trump in the upcoming 2024 elections. Before bed every night, Rich could be found finding solace in his bible, as he read several verses before falling asleep.
In addition to his wife Marcia, Rich’s memories will be cherished by his children: John (Heidi) Hollis of Galion, Chuck (April) Hollis of Bucyrus, and Pam Hollis of Galion; sister: Opal Edrena Nolen of Louisville, KY.; sisters-in-law: Joy Madden and Penny McCullough; grandchildren: Richard Hollis, Cole (Alina) Hollis, Twyla (Jamin Kindred) Hollis, Tiffany Holwager, Breana (Josh McMillin) Hollis, Deven (Elexis Farmer) Hollis, and Eli (Kearston) Hollis; great-grandchildren: David, Evan, Emma, Ryder, Chase, Ally, Nova, Weston, and Kehlani; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Rich was greeted at the Gates of Heaven by his brother: Harold Hollis.
The Hollis family will observe a graveside service on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 12:30pm at Crawford County Memory Gardens, with Pastor Joe Stafford officiating.
