BOWLING GREEN — Ashland’s Elleni Miller punched her ticket to state.

A junior, Miller shot a 10-over 82 to earn one of the two individual state berths up for grabs at the Division I girls district tournament at Stone Ridge Golf Club. 

Norwalk’s Kilee Duncan matched Miller’s 82 to grab the other individual qualifying bid. Toledo St. Ursula (317) and Anthony Wayne (354) pocketed the team team berths out of the Northwest District.

Lexington’s Makaree Chapman nearly joined Miller, carding an 84. Lady Lex finished third as a team with a 369. Lauryn Nupen (93), Willow Roberts (95), Aniyah Monica (97) and Kyler Lamb (105) also teed it up for Lexington.

Ashland was fourth as a team with a 370. Kyah Huckleberry backed Miller with an 87, followed by Natalie Koehler (94), Chloe Crunkilton (107) and Haylee Bond (109).

Ontario finished ninth in the team standings with a 399. Delaney Moritz (96) led the Warriors, followed by Ashley Hall (98), Brooklynm Black (101), Brinlee Kreger (104) and Alexia Sesco (150).

Anthony Wayne’s Sophia Stanton was the district medalist after shooting an even-par 72. Toledo St. Ursula’s Emma Myers was medalist runner-up with a 73.

The Division I girls tournament will be held Oct. 14 to 15 at NCR Country Club in Kettering.
