James Andy Williamson Sr., age 78, of Mansfield, passed away on his birthday, September 19, 2024, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
He was born September 19, 1946, in Mill Creek, West Virginia, to the late Solomon and Bertha (Thompson) Williamson. Jim worked at Ohio Brass and Tucker Brothers Auto Wrecking. He loved working on cars in his free time. He enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie and gardening. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Jim is survived by a son, James (Misty) Williamson, Jr.; six grandchildren, Dustin (Ashley) Frye, Karlee Ward, Jesse (Cheyenne) Williamson, Brianna Williamson, Sheyenne Williamson and Summer Williamson; a great-granddaughter, Octavia Mae Williamson; four brothers and sisters, Juanita Vance, Ellen (Fredrick) Bays, Allen Williamson and Donald (Betty) Williamson; and many cherished family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his dearly departed wife, Francis (Wright) Williamson; daughter, Kathy Sue Williamson; two infant sons, Butch and James Williamson; and brother, Solomon Williamson Jr.
