Ada Ruth Brandenburg, four months and twenty-seven days old is now resting peacefully. She passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.
She entered the lives of her parents, Jake and Irie (Roy) Brandenburg on April 18, 2024, in Mansfield, Ohio. Ada had a beautiful, scrunchy face that delighted her mom and dad. Her mom loved to dress her in her favorite colors of scarlet, maroon and navy blue. Her brother, Beau, loved her from the start and relished every opportunity to hold her. Visiting Malabar Farm and Gorman Nature Center with her family were favorite activities. Ada absolutely loved being outside and it brought the biggest smile to her adorable face.
Those left cherishing Ada’s memory are her loving parents, Jake and Irie Brandenburg; big brother, Beau Brandenburg; grandparents, Gwen and Jack Lykins; great-grandparents, John Rawlings and Kay Brandenburg; aunts and uncles, Kayla Denny, Seth Roy, Gage Lykins, Brad (Lexi) Lykins, Zac (Taylor) Lykins and Aziah Lykins; great uncle, Derek (Dory) Rawlings; and so many supportive family members and friends.
Ada was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Evelyn Lahmon; great-great-grandmother, Ruth Lykins; and her favorite dog, Poe.
