David G. Work
MANSFIELD: David G. Work, age 76, of Mansfield passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital following a short illness.
He was born March 21, 1948 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania to the late Alfred and Emily (Price) Work and graduated from Madison High School in 1968. David worked at the former O’Neils restaurant in the Richland Mall and Bob Evans.
He enjoyed fishing, following the Clevland Guardians and Browns, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was elated when he got time to visit his cousin’s farm and attend family reunions. He was the epitome of a gentleman, very kind, and pleasant. He will be missed by his family who dearly loved his tender, sometimes feisty heart.
David is survived by his sister Karen Armstrong of Howard, nephew Mark Armstrong (Karen Phalor) of Bellville, cousins Bonnie (Gary) Fry, Bruce Barzanti, and Beverly Schopp; close friends Dianna Guill, and Sam and Kay Eldridge.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother-in-law David Armstrong, cousin Steve Schopp and close friend Dick Guill.
Friends may call Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 1 – 2 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where the service will begin at 2 pm. Pastor Christine Radojcsics will officiate and burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
