BUTLER: Dale W. Pritchard passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on Friday, September 6, 2024. He was 72.

He was born on July 3rd, 1952 to parents Blake W. Jr. and Iris W. (Wood) Pritchard in Mansfield, Ohio. After high school Dale enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country for four years before transferring to the United States Army Reserves to serve for another sixteen years. Along with his time in the military, Dale worked at Newman Technology as a factory foreman until his retirement in 2018.

On March 24, 1973 he married the love of his life, Sandra Ousley, and the couple shared 51 wonderful years of marriage together.

Dale was a simple man who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, which for him included watching his favorite western and kung fu movies with his favorite snacks, cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals, taking care of and mowing his lawn with his new John Deere tractor, and taking road trips with Sandy to nearby casinos. Above all else though, he loved his family more than anything in the world. He genuinely enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren- even if that time was spent with some good-natured teasing. His unconditional love, support, and dedication to his family will be missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife Sandy Pritchard, sons Larry (Tanya) Pritchard and Jerry (Audra) Pritchard, grandchildren Kylie (Brody), Alyia, Joe, Jacob, Brody, Aubrey, Ava, and Autumn “September”, great-grandchildren Summer, Tyler, Tate, and soon to be Sawyer, siblings Ruthaleen (Bob) Stelzer, Linda (Tom) Stull, and Nancy (Bob) Ronevich, brother-in-law Bertin (Kathy) Ousley, sister-in-law Joyce Smith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dale is preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law Bertin Sr. and Ruth Ousley, and sister-in-law Shirley Buckler.

Per Dale’s wishes, his family will be celebrating his life privately.
