MANSFIELD — Richland Academy of the Arts presents the area’s favorite “old-time” dance band, Stardust, is led by the Artistic Jazz Orchestra band leader, Paul Martin.

The Stardust dance band consists of two saxophones, three trombones, piano, bass, drums, and a singer, and very authentically recreates the sounds of the bands from the swing era.

The band performs the music of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Ted Heath, Woody Herman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, and so much more.

The music is fantastic for dancing or simply sitting back and relaxing. The band will be accompanied by the girl singer, Kelly Knowlton, who always thrills and delights.

This concert is free to Richland County older adults 60 and older on Sept. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Richland Academy of the Arts.

The special concert event is supported and funded by the Richland County Senior Services Levy, administered by the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc.
