MANSFIELD — The Mansfield Chamber Music Players will present the 28th annual Donald Bernhardt Memorial Chamber Music Concert on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 4 p.m. in Riedl Hall at The Ohio State University, Mansfield campus.

Music by Denes Agay, Adolph Blanc, Theodore Dubois, and William Grant Still will be performed by a string quintet, a woodwind quintet and finally with the winds and strings combined.

Organized by Carol Bernhardt in memory of her late husband, Donald Bernhardt who was concertmaster of the Mansfield Symphony and the Ashland Orchestra as well as an avid chamber music player, the Mansfield Chamber Music Players have performed over 100 different pieces on these concerts since the first one in 1997.

Included on this year’s varied program is Five Easy Dances by Denes Agay and Folk Suite No. 4 by William Grant Still played by a woodwind quintet.

The strings will play Quintette #7 op. 50 by Adolphe Blanc and the winds will join the strings for Dixtuor by Theodore Dubois.

Performing this year will be: Violin, Michael Sieberg and Steve Domka, Viola, Jim Froelich, Cello, Robert Rashid, Bass, David Lenigan, Flute, Katie Fanning, Oboe, Carol Bernhardt, Clarinet, Pamela Ellis, French horn, Keely Krumweide, and Bassoon, Jane Price.

The concert is provided by the Donald Bernhardt Memorial Chamber Music Fund at Chase Bank in cooperation with The Ohio State University–Mansfield campus.
