John “Nick” N. Bowman, age 71, of Mansfield, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024, at his home from progressive supranuclear palsy, a rare neurological disorder.

He was born November 17, 1952, in Marion, Ohio, to the late Bonnie J. (Stief) and Alvin F.
Bowman. Nick was a 1971 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. Nick always wanted and loved to have the biggest television available. A staunch believer in the 2nd Amendment, he was a member of the NRA. He was an all-around Mr. Fix-It. He was the owner/operator of Bow Enterprises until he retired. Work was his hobby, not a job. There are many words to describe Nick: hardworking, loyal, intelligent, funny, generous, well respected, and a jack-of-all trades, but the most important was devoted—to family, work and friends.

Nick is survived by his wife of 50 years, Denise Armstead Bowman; two daughters, Heather
Bowman and Kimberly (Timothy) Thornton; a sister; and two special friends, Shannon and Ben.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Sharon Buchanan Napier.

The family gives special thanks to Avita Hospice-especially the wonderful care given by nurses, Jenny and Candy.

There will be no visitation or service at this time. Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario is honored to serve the family.
