BELLVILLE — Clear Fork’s run to the district title didn’t go unnoticed, nor unrewarded by the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Three Colts earned All-Ohio citations in Division II when the OHSBCA introduced the all-state team earlier this month.

Nate Lind landed a spot on the first team, while Jay Jackson and Luke Schlosser were honorable-mention picks.

A senior second baseman, Lind batted .452 as the Colts (26-5) reached the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2017. He stole 19 bases, scored 35 runs and belted eight doubles while knocking in 18 runs.

A junior shortstop, Jackson led the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference with a .483 batting average and 34 runs batted in. He stole 27 bases and scored 30 runs.

A senior, Schlosser repeated as an All-Ohioan as a utility player. He batted .390 with seven doubles and 19 RBIs and was 8-1 on the mound with a 1.16 earned run average and 92 strikeouts in 54 innings or work. He was an honorable-mention All-Ohioan as a junior.

Lexington’s Braden Mumaw was a second-team pick as a third baseman. The senior batted .346 with 21 RBIs and a pair of homers.

Ontario’s Carter Weaver repeated as an All-Ohioan, landing a spot on the honorable mention list as an outfielder. The Ashland University-bound senior batted .392 with 25 RBIs and six doubles. He was a first-team All-Ohioan last spring.

In Division III, Wynford’s Grant McGuire was selected the state’s Player of the Year, capping a remarkable high school career. The senior third baseman led the Royals (21-9) to a berth in the regional tournament, batting .494 with 49 RBIs and 23 extra-base hits, including an area-best nine home runs.

Wynord’s Kaiden Blair joined his teammate on the All-Ohio first team as an outfielder. The senior batted .442 and led the Northern 10 Athletic Conference with 43 runs scored.

Crestview had a pair of Division III All-Ohioans in senior catcher Brennan Fulk and senior utility man Jarek Ringler. Fulk batted .472 with six doubles and 19 RBIs, while Ringler batted .481 and was 7-1 on the hill with a 1.15 ERA and 93 strikeouts in 54.2 innings.

Buckeye Central’s Heath Jenson was a second-team pick in Division IV as an outfielder. The senior batted .308 and led the N10 with 30 stolen bases.
