Louella Kay Forbes, of Mansfield, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2024. She was 69.

She was born on January 14, 1955, in Brookville, Pennsylvania, to parents John and Ina (Wells) Williams. Although she grew up in Pennsylvania, Louella spent most of her adult life in Mansfield.

For 35 years, Louella worked at Sears where she was referred to as “the paint lady”. For the last four years, she worked for the AARP Fraud Watch. Louella worked hard and took pride in every job.

Louella was a long-time member of Hope Lutheran Church (formerly St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church) where she enjoyed serving the Lord and helping to build the community and many friendships. When her children were younger, she became involved with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, which blossomed into 20 years of volunteering for the organizations.

Throughout life, she embodied the adage of “never met a stranger.” She cherished her friends and family; those relationships were the most important thing to her. Louella even found an “adopted daughter” in her good friend, Mary Buyer. Louella will forever be remembered for her kind spirit, charitable nature, and giant heart.

She is survived by her children Linda Noellert, Vicky McNabb, and Brian Forbes, mother Ina Williams, siblings Debra Carrick, Sandra Pond, and Roger Williams, former spouse, Brian C. Forbes who she stayed friends with, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

The Forbes family will receive guests on July 13, 2024, from 12 to 2 pm at Hope Lutheran Church, 2010 Park Avenue West, Mansfield, Ohio, 44906. Flowers and cards may be sent to the church directly.
