MANSFIELD: Creative and giving, Cindy Rice gifted custom quilts to family and friends. It was her way of sharing her passion and showing her love. Her hands now still, Cynthia K Rice, 73, of Mansfield passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Ohio State University Hospital.

The daughter of Richard and Mildred (Allenbaugh) Flath, Cindy was born December 20, 1950 in Wadsworth. In 1969 she graduated from Clear Fork High School.
Hard working, Cindy held numerous jobs over the years including Lowes for 10 years and most recently Hobby Lobby.

Artistic, Cindy’s creativity was evident in her custom quilts, often given as graduation, birthday, or wedding gifts. She was a talented seamstress as well. Cindy enjoyed drawing and was an avid reader. She loved to garden, both flowers and vegetables.

On December 6, 1996 she married David Rice. Together Cindy and David enjoyed traveling, taking numerous vacations across the country.

Cindy will be remembered for her loving spirit, giving nature, and genuine care for her family.

She is survived by her husband David Rice of Mansfield; children Amy (Steve) Cook, Kimberly (David) Borsick, and Chris (Rochelle) Hollar; grandchildren Logan, Lauren (Jacob), Hope, Kaleb, and Erika; great grandson Myles; siblings Pam Swank, Jennie Flath, Jeff (Ellen) Flath, Jim (Kathleen) Flath; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 4-7 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home.
