MANSFIELD — The Richland County Democratic Central Committee will meet Monday, April 29, to appoint a replacement candidate for the 76th State Representative seat.
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at the committee’s headquarters, located at 16 S. Park Street.
The first meeting of the day will be to appoint additional Central Committeepersons to vacant precincts. Judge Phil Naumoff will be present to swear in the new members.
The second meeting of the day will begin at 6:10 p.m. and will be focused on selecting a replacement candidate to appear on the Nov. 5 ballot to fill the state representative position vacated by Alomar Davenport, who has withdrawn.
The 76th Ohio House represents all of Richland County, a seat now held by Republican Marilyn John.
