COLUMBUS — With the April 15 income tax filing deadline near, the Ohio Department of Taxation is extending customer service hours for taxpayers with questions or needing help with Ohio or school district income taxes.
The customer service line – 1-800-282-1780 – will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 10, 11, 12, and 15.
In addition, the Columbus walk-in Welcome Center will be open on April 10, 11, 12, and 15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to noon.
The customer service line will also be staffed from 9 a.m. to noon on April 13.
The Welcome Center is located at 4485 Northland Ridge Boulevard (near Karl & Morse Rds.), Columbus, Ohio 43229.
Unless the taxpayer has a valid federal income tax filing extension, all Ohio and school district income tax returns are due by the end of the day on Monday, April 15.
