Darlene Faye Blackmon of Mansfield passed away Sunday afternoon, March 10, 2024, at Crystal Care Center in Ashland. She was 90 years old.
She was born February 20, 1934, in Magoffin, Kentucky, one of 13 children of Ernie and Ina Mae (Hensley) Risner. Darlene loved cats, crafts, reading and perusing antique shows and flea markets. She immensely enjoyed time with her grandchildren.
Darlene is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Juan) Nolasco of Ontario, OH, and Marla D. (Chip) Hicks of Armada, MI; four grandchildren, Matt (Kristen) Hicks, Andy (John) Smith, Juan Christopher Nolasco and Nina (Dustin) Owens; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a brother, Wallen (Sue) Risner; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Michael Shoup; four sisters, Marie Hanners, Glossie Gaskens, Dale Hensley and Lucy Eisman; and seven brothers, Junior, Dexter, Derb, Worni, Troy, Hager and Paul Risner.
The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery.
