MANSFIELD — The Mansfield City School Board meeting has been rescheduled to April 28 at 5:30 p.m., after technical difficulties prevented the Google meeting to be open to the public Tuesday evening.

According to Ohio Revised Code 121.22 4C, “All meetings of any public body are declared to be public meetings open to the public at all times. A member of a public body shall be present in person at a meeting open to the public to be considered present or to vote at the meeting and for purposes of determining whether a quorum is present at the meeting.”

The meeting, originally scheduled for a regular 5:30 start time on Google chat, was halted after the board realized no members of the public could join them.

“We are working to fix it,” President Renda Cline said via phone call about 30 minutes into the planned meeting.

The agenda includes a resolution to approve a contingency distance learning plan for the balance of the school year.

Facilities manager Bob Booth will provide a report. Technology director Fayette Adams will update the board on the status of Chromebooks.

The complete agenda is available on the board of education page under the “about us” tab at the top of the tygerpride.com home page.
