Fifteen-year-old Cherie McConnell has been missing since October 30 and her mother just wants her to return home safely.
She was last seen at Mansfield Senior High School and was wearing campus wear, said Rosa Woodruff, McConnell’s mother.
“The last person someone seen her with was a 23-year-old boy named Lucky,” Woodruff said. “That’s his street name. I think his real name is Tyler Smith.”
Woodruff said she heard that Cherie McConnell was at the man’s grandfather’s house, but after police spoke with the grandfather they found that McConnell had not been there.
“And he has no idea where his grandson is staying at now,” she said. “So there’s no way that the police can track him down. But the police do have a picture of him too.”
Woodruff said she noticed McConnell’s bright blue Areopostale hooded sweatshirt is missing.
McConnell has run away from home in the past.
“She’s done it before and it was a while ago,” Woodruff said. “It was like a couple of days and she was home.”
There were no arguments or anything that happened out of the ordinary,” Woodruff said.
A dispatcher at the Mansfield Police Department confirmed a police report was on file and said the case has no leads at this time.
