Michael Lee McKee age 76, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024 surrounded by his family after a short battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

He was born December 31, 1947 in Millersburg to the late Leland and Mildred (Engel) McKee. On February 11, 1982, he married the former Lesley Messenger and she survives.

Michael retired from the City of Mansfield where he worked in the Department of Engineering after 43 years. He was a member of Mansfield Masonic Lodge #35 where he served many years as the lodge secretary and was a past master. He belonged to Mansfield Grotto, Mansfield Power Squadron and the Old Farts Book Club. He enjoyed being a Hamm radio operator and his call sign was KC8QFA. Michael was also an Honorable Kentucky Colonel. While he enjoyed travelling, he very much enjoyed spending time in South Carolina where he could fish and spend time at the beach.

Michael is survived by his wife Lesley, son Ken (Lori) McKee, daughter Lynn (Joe) Voll, grandchildren: Kaden, Bailey, Landen and Kaileigh and brother-in-law John (Cheryl) Messenger.

Friends may call Monday January 22, 2024 from 4:00 PM -6:00 PM at the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. A Masonic service and memorial service will follow at 6:00 PM with Pastor Jonathan Stufft officiating.
