MANSFIELD — The weather is downshifting on the thermometer, and the leaves are beginning to change.

Those are sure signs that Heritage Days at South Park are upon us.

Food Truck Friday began the festivities, with the 7th Annual American Heritage Days taking place on Saturday, Oct. 7 and Sunday, Oct. 8 in South Park, 100 Brinkerhoff Ave. in Mansfield.

This is a chance to view the famed Mansfield Blockhouse from the early 1800s. Also, period actors will be dressed in Colonial Times garb, with a variety of activities taking place.
