MANSFIELD, Ohio–Music, lunch and a tour of the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce offices at 55 N. Mulberry St. were available to chamber members on Friday as part of Member Appreciation Day.

The event was the chamber’s first appreciation day and it allowed chamber staff and members to tour the building and enjoy meeting each other over lunch. The tour building was built in 1890 as the home and medical offices of Dr. James Woods Craig.

“We just wanted to talke some time to thank our members for all of their support, especially in the last year. It recognizes the great energy we have in the chamber and in the cmmunity,” President Jodie Perry said.

Learning about each other’s business was one of the opportunities.

Stan and Diana Butts of Valleyview Country Getaway met members at the front door of the chamber. Their country getaway has given them an opportunity to meet people all over the country. They’ve had visitors from Canada, Colorado, and peope who came to enjoy the Shawshank events.

“It’s a fun business. You really have to be into people,” Stan Butts said. “We meet people who knows somebody who knows somebody,” added Diana Butts.

Getting to know the members

Dawn and Heather Kershner of Hidden Hog Breakfast & BBQ came for lunch and were happy to cooment on relocating their business to Mansfield in May.

“It’s going very well,” Dawn Kershner said. “It’s good to have parking and now we do lunch too.”

Lunch for the event was provided by Skyline Chili, Jones’ Chips, Paul’s Drive-In and Pepsi. The lunch attendees also enjoyed luch 

Appreciatation gifts were provided by Staker Dental and the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce.
