MILLERSBURG – A Killbuck man was killed and an Ashland woman injured after a four-vehicle crash that took place at approximately 12:20 p.m. Thursday near Millersburg, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Larry E. Farley, 67, of Killbuck, Ohio, was transported to Joel Pomerene Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries, the Patrol stated. 

Katherine M. Snyder, 69, of Ashland, was transported to Joel Pomerene Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The crash occurred on State Route 39 at County Road 314 in Monroe Township.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol report, Bailey J. Boughman, 21, of Glenmont, was driving a 2013 Peterbilt box truck.

Thomas A. Snyder, 73, of Ashland, was driving a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country. Katherine M. Snyder, 69, of Ashland, Ohio, was a front-seat passenger.

Gloria R. Stoltzfus, 37, of Millersburg, was driving a 2008 Toyota Sequoia.

Farley was driving a 1999 Ford Escort.

Stoltzfus was stopped northbound on County Road 314 at the intersection of State Route 39. Snyder was westbound on State Route 39 and stopped to turn south onto County Road 314.

Farley was eastbound on State Route 39. Boughman was westbound on State Route 39 and was unable to stop in an assured clear distance ahead striking the rear of Snyder’s vehicle. The impact forced the Snyder vehicle into the eastbound lane of State Route 39 striking the Farley vehicle.

The Farley vehicle left the south side of State Route 39 striking the Stoltzfus vehicle.

Stoltzfus, who was belted, was not injured. Thomas Snyder, who was belted, was not injured. Boughman, who was belted, was not injured.

Alcohol is not suspected in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
