MIFFLIN TOWNSHIP — Clyde Manley, husband of Barbara Manley, was arrested Friday on a warrant for murder in connection with her March 5 murder, according to a press release from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Clyde Manley, who is described as suffering Alzheimer’s Disease in a 911 call, was taken into custody and transported to the Richland County Jail, Sheriff Steve Sheldon said.

The Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit along with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification worked throughout the week collecting evidence from the Manley residence at 1649 Frontier Trail in Mifflin Township, Richland County Ohio.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and an autopsy was performed on Wednesday. No further details will be released, the sheriff said.

“There are a lot of suspicious findings. That’s all I can say right now,”  Richland County Coroner’s investigator Bob Ball said earlier this week. “There are some really challenging pieces in this case.”

Sheldon referred further questions to Richland County Prosecutor Gary Bishop.
