ASHLAND — Graduation of the current class of Maintenance Training students in Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center’s Adult Education program leaves big boots for the next class to fill.

The latest graduates reached heights never seen before in the program with 100 percent of the class achieving the Director’s List and 100 percent of the students who initially enrolled completing the program.

Nine of the thirteen students enrolled had perfect attendance and the students received 140 certifications of 143 certifications attempted. The best news is that 7 of the 13 already have a new maintenance technician position, including one who has moved to Michigan to start his new job.

“These stats are phenomenal. We’re so proud of these adult students and their instructors,” said Adult Education Director Melisa Carr. “What an opportunity for employers to procure greatness like this for their workforce.”

Maintenance Training instructors are Jeff Jones and Rick Price. The next Maintenance Training class begins on Jan. 8. Contact the Adult Education Department of Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center at 419-289-3313 or 1-800-686-3313 for more information.
