ASHLAND — The Ohio Department of Transportation has issued its District 3 weekly construction report for the Week of Oct. 23.

Ashland County drivers should use caution on these roads:

Interstate 71

I-71, from the Ashland Co. line to the US 250 ramps, will have daytime single lane closures and nighttime double lane closures as crews continue work on a resurfacing project. Motorists are advised to use caution when driving through the work zone. All work is weather dependent. The project is expected to be complete October 2017.

US Route 30/County Road 655

US 30, between Ashland County Rd. and SR 60, will have lane restrictions as crews begin work on the CR 655 bridge structure over the roadway. CR 655 at the US 30 bridge spanning the roadway, between Water St. and County Rd. 1802, is reduced to one lane of traffic. Temporary traffic signals are in place to control the flow of traffic across the structure. The project is expected to be complete November 2017.

State Route 60

SR 60, from its intersection with US 224 to the Huron Co. line, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a smooth seal resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete November 2017.

State Route 96

SR 96, between Twp. Rd. 1293 and Twp. Rd. 1253, is closed for a culvert replacement. Twp. Rd. 1253 will remain open during construction. The detour route for eastbound motorists is SR 96 to SR 545, northeast on SR 545 to US 250, southeast on US 250 to SR 96, and reverse for westbound motorists. The project is expected to be complete November 2017.
