MANSFIELD — The Mansfield Police Department major crimes unit arrested Anthony Lee Hart II, 24, Thursday for his connection to an alleged aggravated robbery.
According to a press release, Hart entered the Circle K convenience store at 98 Lexington Avenue on Monday, Oct. 31 and robbed it at gunpoint.
Lt. Robert Skropits said the major crimes unit followed up on many leads from the community leading up to the arrest.
“With assistance from the public, we were able to arrest a dangerous individual and put another bad guy in jail. Those who think they are going to inflict violence on our citizens should reconsider,” Skropits said.
Hart remains in the Richland County Jail on an aggravated robbery charge. Skropits said the suspect may have additional charges after his case has been reviewed by the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office.
