Most have probably been paying more attention than I have, but I just recently heard about the special election scheduled for August 8th. Early voting begins on July 11.

It seems that many outside interests have been approaching the citizens of Ohio over the last few years attempting to make changes to our laws, values and even our Constitution. Our Constitution, by design, is and should be hard to change and it should speak for Ohioans, not outsiders who want to influence our lifestyle. Nor should our lifestyle and values be dictated predominantly by areas of large population. The Constitution for Ohio should speak for Ohioans across the State.

The special election on August 8th is meant to keep Ohioans’ rights strong. By calling for a larger vote to change it and including all counties, a Yes vote on August 8th will help Ohioans remain in control of the precious rights and freedoms they deserve. I encourage you to enjoy the right and responsibility of your freedom to cast your vote on or before August 8th and hope you will encourage your friends to do likewise. Please vote Yes in this special election and help maintain our freedom in Ohio.
