MANSFIELD — Ashley Merritt and her husband James Espy, the owner of the Mansfield Mayhem Youth Football team, are asking the community to help them raise money to purchase socks, shoes and underwear for families in need for the start of the school year.
“We will be collecting new and gently used shoes for kiddos in need,” Merritt shared on the GoFundMe she created this week.
“After buying school supplies, clothes, socks, book bags and school fees, parents end up paying hundreds of dollars, especially if they have more than one kid, I think helping out with shoes, socks and undies would help families greatly!”
