MANSFIELD, Ohio – A cashier at the Sunoco gas station at 1257 state Route 430 reported a robbery Saturday morning at approximately 7:30 a.m. According to cashier Jade Davidson the perpetrator pointed a gun at her face and demanded all of the money in the cash box.
She complied.
“He made me lay down on the floor and told me he was going to kill me if I moved. And then he took off on foot,” said Davidson.
According to the sheriff’s office report, Deputy Charles White Jr. watched the gas station’s surveillance footage which showed the suspect entering the building at 7:16 a.m. and observed the suspect exit the building’s west side just one minute later. The suspect was believed to have walked west bound.
Davidson described the robber as a white male, approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall and wearing a blue hoodie and blue jeans. She said he covered his face with his left arm.
Deputies observed on the video that the suspect wore black shoes and black gloves. The suspect appeared to wield a large-frame, dark, revolver.
The incident remains under investigation.
