MANSFIELD — The next round of storms arrived in Richland County on Wednesday morning.
This line could contain strong wind gusts, plenty of lightning and heavy rain, according to Joseph D. Petrycki, Director of the Richland County Emergency Management Agency.
Richland County is under a Flood Watch until 8 p.m. Wednesday night. Forecasters are calling for heavy rain to persist through the early morning hours.
As a result, excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
The precipitation could include up to 1 to 3 inches of rainfall with locally higher amounts. Additional rainfall of at least 2 inches is possible with isolated higher amounts.
Residents should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
