The Clear Fork Lady Colts travelled to Granville, Ohio to take on the OCSSA’s top team in the Granville Blue Aces. The Colts potent scoring attack was rebuffed, and ultimately, Clear Fork would join ten other teams in falling to unbeaten Granville. The final score was 3-1.
Granville built a one goal lead at half, they led 2-1. Granville’s Nikki Cox, Clear Fork’s s sophomore Jordyne Helinski answered with another off of an assist from senior Shelby Pipes. Granville’s unbeaten scoring attack would answer with Chloe Kent, andi Cox piling on two more for the victory.
Clear Fork peeled off 21 shots on goal to Granville’s 10. Clear Fork also won the corner kick margin, 4-3. Keeper Morgan Bailey (7); Granville’s sophomore keeper Tori Long snatched up 11.
Granville remains the OCSSA’s top ranked team. The win puts them at 11-0-1.
Clear Fork falls to 9-3-0 on the season, but have notched a 6-0-0 OCC record on the year.
Junior variety game ended in a tie: 3-3.
