WOOSTER — Wooster outscored Lexington in each of the first three quarters and shocked the Minutemen 49-33 in an Ohio Cardinal Conference boys basketball game on Tuesday night.
Micah McKee pumped in 26 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to author a one-man wrecking crew effort that controlled the lane for the Generals. Drew Dossi chipped in 12 points as Wooster improved to 2-6 overall, 1-4 in the OCC.
The Generals forged a 15-10 first-quarter lead, stretched it to 25-10 at halftime, and opened a 40-22 bulge through three quarters.
Braden Forup’s 13 points and 17 rebounds paced Lexington, while Hudson Moore added nine points and seven rebounds.
The Minutemen fall to 8-2 overall, 4-1 in the conference. Lexington is at Clear Fork (2-8) on Saturday night.
Wooster travels to Madison (6-4) on Friday night.
