BUCYRUS — A Bucyrus woman was arrested Thursday on charges of OVI and Driving Under Suspension after police say she drove a vehicle that hit the ACE Hardware building on South Sandusky Avenue in Bucyrus.

According to a Bucyrus Police report, Officers to a call at 2:02 p.m. of a vehicle hitting the ACE Hardware building. The female driver walked north in the alley and a male passenger followed.

The passenger was located a block away and the driver was tracked down at her residence in the 500 block of South Sandusky Avenue. She crashed the front right of her 2002 Mercedes SUV into the north side of E and H Ace Hardware near the entrance vestibule. The driver said the car had trouble with reverse.

There was minor visible damage to the building and moderate damage to the vehicle and the vehicle was towed. Jessica Armstrong, 37, was arrested on charges of OVI and Driving Under Suspension. She was transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.

9:04 a.m. A report of a coyote in the 300 block of Hopley Ave. was investigated. The injured animal was dispatched.

9:50 a.m. Officers investigated a report of a suspicious person in the 900 block of Hopley Ave. The person was a contractor working for the city.

10:59 a.m. Officers investigated a parking complaint in the 600 block of Ridge Ave.

11:12 a.m. An E Charles St resident reported his home entered. Officers are investigating.

11:20 a.m. A Rosedale Ave resident reported their unlocked vehicles entered overnight and a handgun was stolen.

12:32 p.m. Officers picked up a syringe in the area of Failor and Warren St and disposed of it.

12:44 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 200 block of E Liberty.

1:04 p.m. A disturbance in the 200 block of Woodlawn Ave was investigated.

1:19 p.m. Officer checked on a report of a small child standing alone in an alley clad only in a diaper. The child was brought to station and the matter resolved with the assistance of children services.

1:46 p.m. Officers made a civil standby in the 1300 block of Isaac Beal Ave.

5:05 p.m. Officers responded to the area of Waterford Glen about dirt bikes in the area.

8:02 p.m. A report of a fight in the area of Walnut and Center Street turned out to be brother play boxing in the front yard.

8:24 p.m. Officers attempted to check the welfare of a subject who had fallen off his bicycle in the area of Spring and Mansfield Street. He had already left the area before officers arrived.

9:42 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued in the area of E. Mansfield and Mary Street.

9:43 p.m. Officers investigated a domestic complaint in the vicinity of E. Mansfield St. and E. Mary St. and Cory Young, 29, was arrested on a charge of Violating a Temporary Protection Order. He was transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.

Friday, April 12

1:42 a.m. A report of a possible prowler in the 400 block of W Mary St was investigated. Officers discovered four deer in the back yard.

2:46 a.m. A domestic dispute was investigated in the 1600 block of Marion Rd.

3:34 a.m. Officers checked on an open gate in the 1800 block of E Mansfield St. The gate was secured.

3:54 a.m. Officers investigated a complaint from residents working on a vehicle outside in the 100 block of W. Galen St. of an intoxicated female approaching them and disrobing and physically harassing them. The unknown female left behind clothing and keys and walked north from the area. The officer checking the area located an irate female pounding on the door of a residence in the 100 block of W. Mary St. and yelling at a someone known to her. This was the same individual from W. Galen St. and Harley CE Witten, 28 was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. She was transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held until sober.

5:29 a.m. Officers checked on a car alarm in the 800 block of Plymouth St.
