MADISON TOWNSHIP — Students from Madison Comprehensive High School enjoyed a big day at the Northwest Regional SkillsUSA competition on Friday Feb. 16.

Madison students took one gold medal, five silvers and a bronze during the competition.

The 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place winners qualified for the State SkillsUSA competition in Columbus on April 24 & 25.

Nick Thorpe won a gold medal for his work in the Industrial Motor Control category.

Silver medal winners included: Jacob Gordon (CNC Technician), Demi Huss (Cosmetology), Cecelia Brady (Customer Service), Madison Bishop (Job Interview), and Bailee Applegate (Job Skill Demonstration).

Bret Stanish took a bronze medal in Electrical Construction Wiring.

Straight to State: Jacalyn Swartz (Dental), Makenzie McDaniel (Medical Assisting) and the Quiz Bowl team were lauded for their performances as well.
