The United Way campaign for Richland County has reached 98 percent of the $1,650,000 campaign goal as of Feb. 13. Pledges now total $1,625,077 which means United Way still needs $24,923 to fulfill its goal.
Executive Director Bob Maxey is asking for community support during these final days before the cut-off date to donate on Feb. 20.
One week following the cut-off date on Feb. 27 is the United Way Annual Awards Dinner at the Mid-Ohio Conference Center on West Fourth Street. During this special occasion, the final campaign total will be revealed. Social hour begins at 5 p.m. and the dinner and awards program begins at 6 p.m.
The cost is $20 per person or $160 for a group of eight. Reservations are required. You may fax, mail, email, or call in your reservations to United Way of Richland County, 35 North Park Street, Mansfield; 419-525-2816 (phone); 419-524-3467 (fax); or at ahedrick@unitedwayofrichlandcounty.org.
If people would like to get more details about the 2013 campaign, Maxey said that the United Way staff would be willing to meet to discuss the campaign in more detail. Further, he said the staff will pick up any donations people would like to contribute if they are unable to do so for themselves.
To donate, you may stop in or mail your donation to the United Way of Richland County office. You may also donate online here, or drop off at the Richland Bank, located at 3 North Main Street, Mansfield.
