Steven L. Hinton, age 56 of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026. He was born on April 21, 1970, in Mansfield to the late Steven G. and Catherine D. (Kendall) Hinton.
Steve worked as a forklift operator for many years. In his youth, he enjoyed dirt racing, fishing, hunting, and shooting tournaments. Above all, he was a good man with a big heart, and he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife Michelle Hinton; his brothers Jason (Cheri) Hinton and David Hinton; his cousin Travis Owens; his best friend Cory Fultz; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, including his beloved nephews David and Jack Hinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents Steven and Catherine Hinton and his sister Theresa Hinton.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East. Services will follow at 7:00 pm with Brother Michael Rogers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home to help them through this trying time.
