Mark J. Phillips, age 61, of Mansfield Ohio passed away on October 22, 2026 at home following an extended illness. On May 5, 1965 he was born in Willard, Ohio the son of Michael J. Phillips and Marie E. (Hafner) Phillips. On August 17, 1996 he married Andrea Sours in Ashland, Ohio and they shared 30 years together.
Mark worked many years as a cabinet maker at Village Woodcrafters in Bucyrus, Ohio
He enjoyed watching Tennessee Titans football and NASCAR with his dad. He loved working on cars and fixing things. Mark also enjoyed bowling. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother. Mark was a very kind and gentle person who would do anything he could to help someone in need. Mark also loved his dog, Hank.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea Phillips; daughters, Nevaeh Phillips and Lynn (Billy) Daniels; son, James Phillips; Granddaughters, Loreeanah and Breeanah Daniels; mother, Marie E. Phillips; sisters, Michelle Frank, Marsha (Jeff) Cutlip, Monica (Mark) DeWitt and Megan Phillips; father-in-law, Duane Sours; and sister in law, Michelle (Jeff) Cline, Tanya (Scott) Marker, Brother in law, Joe (Tina) Massie.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael J. Phillips; mother-in-law, Terrie Sours; grandparents, Margaret & Ralph Hafner And Max and Flossie Phillips and son in law, William Daniels.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday November 4, 2026 at 3:00PM at Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society, 9 Chambers Rd. Mansfield, Ohio 44906. Dale Baer will officiate and visitation will be held from 2:00 PM- 3:00 PM.
