The investigation began Aug. 11, when the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 5972 Galion New Winchester Road in connection with an investigation into child pornography.

Investigators seized several electronic items as evidence. They later obtained a second search warrant to search the devices, where illicit material was discovered, according to the sheriff’s office.

A report will be sent to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for review of possible additional charges.

Sheriff Scott Kent, Lt. Craig Moser and Det. Curtis Winkelman urged residents to report suspicious activity by calling the sheriff’s office at 419-562-7906 or by submitting a tip through the sheriff’s office app or the METRICH app.
