Maxine E. Ramsey, age 80, of Shelby, Ohio passed away on September 28, 2026 in Galion, following an extended illness. She was born on September 11, 1946 in Wyoming the daughter of the late Naomi E. (Neumann) Pearce and Franklin W. Pearce. On January 13, 1982 she married David E. Ramsey in Galion, Ohio and they shared 43 years together.
Maxine was a homemaker who loved to fish, being outdoors and spending time with her family.
She has survived by her daughter, Barbara Patton; son, Jeffrey Lutz; brothers and sisters, Leona (Tim) Baldwin, Sue Thompson, Frank Pearce; grandchildren, Whitney (Sebastian) Compton, Sean Jones (Lauren Kehl), Lavin Ramsey (Sydnie Salisbury), Kaylee Ramsey, Jerrika Ramsey, Avery Lutz, Kendra Faucett, and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David E. Ramsey; sons, Benjamin E. Ramsey and Jason K. Lutz; brother, Robert Pearce and sister, Ruth (Don) Buchanan.

A celebration of Maxine‘s life will be held at the Crestline Eagles on October 11, 2026 at 1 PM. Burial will be held in the Olentangy Cemetery on Sherer Road in Galion at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Barbara Patton or Whitney Compton.
