Myles Bradley etched his name in the Bowling Green record books.

The Mansfield Senior graduate set a single-game record with 4.5 sacks in last week’s 14-6 loss to South Florida.

The son of former Bowling Green standout and Senior High coach Chioke Bradley also forced two fumbles, recovered a fumble and broke up a pass for the Falcons (0-4). South Florida (4-0) had surrendered just one sack all season before Bradley’s historic day.

Not surprisingly, Bradley was selected the Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Week. He’s the first Falcon to win the weekly award since Gideon Lampron was selected the MAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 13, 2025.

A senior, Bradley leads the MAC with 5.5 sacks. He has nine tackles on the season.

Debut

Aveon Grose, another Senior High graduate, made his season debut for Michigan State in last week’s 31-13 home loss to Nebraska.

A redshirt senior safety, Grose sat out the first three games with an injury. He played six defensive snaps and also saw action on special teams against the Cornhuskers.

Grose appeared in all 12 games for the Spartans each of the past two seasons. He has 24 career tackles and an interception.

Student Prince

Plymouth product Shae Sparks has found a role with undefeated Heidelberg.

A senior tailback, Sparks has rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown on nine carries and caught four passes for 34 yards.

The Student Princes (4-0) upset Division III powerhouse Mount Union in Alliance two weeks ago and thumped Muskingum 56-0 last week. Sparks rushed for 31 yards and caught one pass for 15 yards in the win over the Muskies.

Heidelberg is ranked 24th in this week’s American Football Coaches Association Division III poll. It’s the Student Princes’ first appearance in the Top 25 since 2022.

Go Zips

She’s just a true freshman, but Ontario graduate Hattie Yugovich already is making a mark on the University of Akron women’s soccer program.

A midfielder, Yugovich has appeared in all 10 matches for the Zips (5-4-1). She has a goal and two assists.

She played 25 minutes in Akron’s 1-0 win over Ohio University on Sunday. It was the Zips’ first win over the Bobcats since 2020.
