SHELBY — Shelby’s awesome football season remained on course with yet another overpowering performance on Friday night.
The Whippets sprinted out early and never looked back to earn a 54-0 victory against River Valley in Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference action.
Quarterback Michael Shepherd accounted for six touchdowns, after racking up seven last week.
This time he completed 14-of-16 passes for 285 yards and four touchdowns. He added 52 yards rushing and two more scores.
Brady Bowman caught 7 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown, while Kayden Paz collected 3 catches for 83 yards and two TDs.
Shelby led 20-0 at the end of the first quarter, and 47-0 at halftime. The entire second half was played with a running clock.
The Whippets improved to 6-0 overall, 3-0 in the MOAC. Shelby travels to Clear Fork on Friday night.
