Jacqueline Sue “Jackie” McQuillan, 78, of Mansfield passed away Wednesday evening September 23, 2026 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby following an extended illness.
The daughter of Leroy and Ellen (Van Dine) Mitchell, Jackie was born on January 20, 1948 in Mansfield and graduated from Madison High School. She worked for the Mansfield Correctional Institution for 24 years retiring in 2008.
On May 29, 1991 she married Charles McQuillan.
Jackie loved her Lord and was a faithful Christian. She maintained a pristine home, and had the gift of interior design. She loved her flower gardens, especially her sunflowers. Jackie enjoyed traveling, having visited 44 states. She loved the beauty of the western states and spent many vacations on cruise ships. She loved her highland terrier Sir Kujo Kilt. A loving grandma and great grandma, Jackie made each visit with her grandkids special.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Tracy Tenney; granddaughter Jessica Tenney and her fiance Sam Rodgers as well as her grandson Jacob and Samantha Tenney; her great granddaughter Peyton; mother Ellen Mitchell; sister Betty Goff; and nephew Rodney and Jessica Tarris.
Along with her father Leroy Mitchell she was preceded in death by her husband Charles McQuillan.
Private funeral services will be held at the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where burial will take place in Mansfield Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
