Irene Noles of Mansfield passed away at her home on Friday, September 18, 2026. She was 90 years old.
Born on May 12, 1936, in Jenkins, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Florida (Burke) and Jimmie Mullins. Irene worked at Hi-Stat Manufacturing retiring with more than 20 years of service. She faithfully listened to the services from Mansfield Baptist Temple on the radio. Irene had a kind, compassionate heart with a special place reserved for the elderly and mentally challenged. She was a caregiver throughout her life possessing patience and a loving heart she willingly shared with others. In her younger years, she enjoyed quilting. She was an impeccable housekeeper and gardener, tending to her yard and flowers with a beautiful result.
Irene is survived by three brothers, Paul Mullins, Roger (Rose) Mullins and Bill Mullins; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emit Noles; sister, Ruth Tackett; and two sisters-in-law, Sieglinde Mullins and Teruyo Mullins.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Abe Kurtz will follow at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Memorial Park, Lexington.
