MANSFIELD — The vivid history of Gen. James Hedges and Col. William Crawford, two local celebrities from the Colonial period, will be among the stories recounted during American Heritage Days at South Park in Mansfield.
Musket demonstrations, a period dance show, and the history of Old Glory will also be featured on Oct. 3 and 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Richland Early American Center for History invites the public to discover life in early
America during the 18th and 19th Century from living historical reenactors. Admission is free.
Throughout the day there will be crafts, trades, and demonstrations including, open hearth cooking, blacksmithing, games and children’s activities.
The City of Mansfield Parks and Recreation will kick off the event on Friday, Oct. 2 with the annual Food Truck Festival in South Park.
