Sheila “Blankenship” Wolford
Sheila Kaye (Blankenship) Wolford born August 25, 1950 in Vanceburg, Kentucky to George and Mildred Blankenship, passed away August 21, 2026 after a brief illness at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was proceeded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law, Don Wolford and Ruth Young and sister-in-law Vicki Blankenship.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Mark Wolford of Loudonville, Ohio, daughter Julie Pfahler and grandchildren Katie and Michael Pfahler, stepdaughter Amber (Shawn) Vickers and grandchildren Payton, Caleb and Josephine, stepson Michael Wolford and grandchildren Michael C. and Maddox.
Also survived by brothers Larry (Paula) Blankenship, Dean Blankenship, Chris (Krissy) Blankenship, sisters Rhonda (Cliff) Shindeldecker, Denise Brown and Beth (Claude) Amos, two brother-in-law’s, Rick (Bev) Wolford and Chuck Wolford along with many nieces and nephews as well.
Her extended family of friends in Florida will also miss her greatly.
Sheila was a graduate of Madison High School and was employed as a buyer for Dometic Sealand in Big Prairie, Ohio before retiring to travel and spend her winters in Florida.
She was a loving gentle spirit and enjoyed having friends and family around her. She had a great love of music, was an avid shopper, loved to go on cruises and travel to music concerts around the country with Mark in their motorhome.
Sheila was a member of Perrysville, VFW auxiliary and loved giving her time to serving others. In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations be made to the VFW Auxiliary Post 8586, P.O. Box 563, Perrysville, Ohio 44864
A celebration of her life will be held for family and friends on September 26, 2026 at the VFW post 8586, 2802 County Road 917, Perrysville, Ohio 44864 from 2-5 pm.
