Starr Lynn Hill, 28, of Butler, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Galion, Ohio, Starr graduated from Mount Vernon High School and was pursuing a career as a yoga instructor and nutrition coach. She aspired to help mothers rebuild physical, mental, and emotional strength to ensure a healthy bond with their new baby. While working toward her certifications, Starr worked at Clear Fork Christian Preschool, where she not only spent more time with her children but also blessed the children and families of that community. Her zest for life and learning quickly touched the lives of those within that community which allowed her to gather an incredible circle of support for her and her children.
Starr’s career passion was driven by her true pride and joy: being a mother. You could always find her outside trying to learn new skills alongside her children or on a walk through the many nature preserves around the area. She was never one for the grand natural wonders; she would rather stroll slowly and find the finer beauties that most would overlook.
That eye for the finer beauties was ingrained by her tremendous faith, which she incorporated into every aspect of her life. She had a gift for singing and would bring people together in parishes all over the area with her voice.
She is survived by her two children, James William Hill III and Allie Grace Lynn Hill; the love of her life, Clint Howarth; and his three children, Eloise, Genevieve, and Charles, whom she adored and cherished as her own.
Though her time with us was far too short, the mark Starr left on the hearts of those who loved her will never fade.
Those who knew Starr, knew of her love of wild flowers. In her honor and upon her request, friends and family are encouraged to bring a freshly picked bouquet or vase of wildflowers to her services.
Friends and family may visit Friday, September 4, 2026 from 11 am – 12 noon in the sanctuary at North Bend Church, 1787 Snyder Road, Butler, Ohio 44822, where funeral services will begin at 12 noon. Pastor Patrick Bailey will officiate and burial will follow in North Liberty Cemetery.
