SHELBY — Shelby High School launched its 2026 football season on Friday night at the Whippet Athletic Complex by honoring its senior football players and cheerleaders before the game with Madison.
The Whippets, who advanced to the state championship game a year ago in Division IV, then celebrated during the game with a 54-0 win against the visiting Rams.
Shelby (1-0) plays at Lexington next week. Madison (0-1) hosts River Valley.
