Vicki Howell, age 64, of Shelby, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026, at her home.
She was born on May 19, 1962, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Ruthann (Suter) and Charles Scott. She worked at Walmart where she enjoyed meeting people. Vicki was a very giving person who thought of everyone but herself. She loved spending time with her family and her aunt, Kathryn, was a favorite companion.

Doing the tasks most of us think of as mundane, Vicki thoroughly enjoyed mowing, doing the laundry, and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a wonderful list maker and very organized. Vicki enjoyed her snacks and was the go-to place for the grandchildren to satisfy their sweet and savory cravings. Trips to Massey’s Pizza were a must. Vicki loved OSU football and recently became enamored with soccer during all the recent coverage of the World Cup.

Left to cherish Vicki’s memory are her mother and stepfather, Ruthann and Calvin Campbell; two children, Brooke (Tom) Turney and Andy Howell (Katie); five beloved grandchildren, Miles, Reed and Gail Turney and Sawyer and Thorin Howell; a sister, Amy (Ben) Ramirez; stepmother, Sarah Scott; and an aunt, Kathryn (Ken) Ball.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Howell and father, Charles Scott.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am -12:00 pm on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in Broken Sword Cemetery in Crawford County following the funeral service.
