Dennis Lee “Monk” Baker, 72 of Ashland passed away from this life early Tuesday morning, June 30, 2026, in Brethren Care Village following an extended illness.
He was born on February 21, 1954, in Ashland the son of the late Harry J. and Inez Marie (nee Greenwalt) Baker.
Monk graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1972. He was employed at U-Brand for many years.
Throughout his life, Monk enjoyed watching old westerns and had a strong love and appreciation for old cars.
He also loved listening to AC/DC and spending time with his grandkids as much as he was able.
He is survived by his son, Mike B. (Allison) Baker of Jeromesville; his daughter, Christine L. Baker of Ashland; six grandchildren, Makaylea Baker, Jasmine Baker, Lilyan Baker, Dominick Baker, Kloe Baker and Zoey Aronhalt; and four sisters, Dory (Ron), Kathy, Barb, and Sharon (Bob).
In addition to his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by seven brothers, Ronnie, Chuck, Bud, Terry, Neil, David, and Bobby; and two sisters, Pam and Patty.
In keeping with his wishes, no services will be observed.
