Bruce Douglas Bevan, age 75, of Mansfield, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

He was born on November 12, 1950, in East McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to the late David and Mary (Cowan) Bevan. Bruce was a Pattern Maker for General Motors, retiring after 35 years of service. He enjoyed passing his time by fishing, boating, or visiting auctions trying to find that elusive item he just had to have. Most of all, he treasured spending time with his family. While Bruce could be described as stubborn, he had a wonderful heart and lived life to the fullest. He will lovingly be remembered as an amazing dad and grandfather. He was a fantastic uncle who loved spending time with his many nieces and nephews.

Bruce is survived by three children, Amy (Paul) Parafenuk, Michellle (Stephen) Stover, and Mandy Jackson; eleven grandchildren, Justin (Jessica) Parafenuk, Cole (Amber) Miller, Austin Bevan, Taylor Bevan, Josh Stover, Matthew Stover, Caitlyn Stover (Owen), Sierrah Stover (Clayton), Noah (Jayla) Jackson, Caleb Jackson, and Elijah Jackson; many great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; a sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Turner; special friend and caregiver, Amy Mays; numerous nieces and nephews; and two step children, Lucas (Renee) Worthington and Kelsea (Bronson) Foley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Worthington Bevan; son, Bruce Bevan Jr.; and three siblings, David Bevan, Wayne Bevan, and Mary-Ann Stein.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 pm on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service officiated by Pastor Rick Sutter will follow at 6:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, Irwin, Pennsylvania, on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
