Marty Gibbs, 83, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026.
She was born in Lodi, Ohio on May 24, 1943. Marty was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy came from the family she cherished so deeply. She shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Floyd, building a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
She is survived by her husband Floyd; her children, Ken Gray (Bev), Rob Gray, and Tammy Patton; her grandsons Kenny Gray, Josh Gray, Steven Layne, Cory Gray, and Dustin Parks; and 10 treasured great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever remember her kindness, strength, and loving spirit.
She was preceded by her parents, Ellen Freeman and Robert Adcock and step-father, Clyde Freeman, her sisters, Joann, Lee and Mary Kay and brother Robert Jr. And son-in-law Ed. She enjoyed her career as a cake decorator and head cashier at Foodtown where she retired in 2002. She loved traveling, reading, doing crafts and attending craft shows. Loved playing games and beating everyone at trivia. She was a cancer survivor and devoted advocate for a cure.
Marty’s warmth touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she made brighter.
A celebration of Marty’s life will be held at Denbow-Gasche in Ashland, Ohio on Monday June 1st from 4-7 pm.
Family and friends are invited to honor her memory and share stories of the love, joy and humor she brought into the world.
